Pipped biscuit

• Sugar 75g
• Butter 150g
• Egg 1
• Vanilla Essence 3-4 drops
• Flour 200g
• Ground Almonds 25g


1.) Create the sugar and butter until light in colour and texture

2.) Add the egg gradually,beaten continually,add the vanilla essence or lemon zest

3.) Gentle fold in the sifted flour and almond,mix well until suitable for pipping.If too stiff,add a little beaten egg

4.) Pipe unto a lightly greased and floured baking sheet,using a medium size star tube (a variety of shapes can be used).

5.) Some biscuits can be left plain,some decorated with half almond or neatly cut pieces of glace cherries .

6.) Baking in a moderate oven at 190°C for about 10minutes
7.) When cooked,remove unto a cooling rack using a pallet knife
