The Making Of Pilaf Rice

PILAF RICE
RECIPE

  • Rice
  • Onions
  • Butter 250g
  • Carrot(optional)
  • Stock
  • Maggi Cubes
  • Chicken
  • Pepper


METHOD

  • - Wash the rice and parboil a little
  • - Place 25g of butter in a small sauce pan.Allow to melt and hot
  • - Add the onions,pepper and carrot.
  • - Cook gently without coloring for 2-3 minutes then add the rice
  • - Add twice the amount of stock needed to the rice.
  • - Season it adequately ,cover with a buttered brown pepper
  • - Place in a hot oven 230 - 250 (approximately) for 15 minutes till cooked.
  • - Remove immediately into a cooking sauce pan.
  • - Carefully spread the remaining butter over the cooked rice,correct the seasoning
  • - Serve in an earthen dish or silver dish.
